Description

Subject Area: Philosophy

Examines a range of philosophical puzzles and problems that have been at the heart of philosophy's history - and that remain at its heart. Focuses on issues about what is real or true, and on issues about what we do and should believe (about reality and truth). Specific topics could include the following (and more): minds and persons; free will and determinism; God and evil; life's meaning; death's harm; properties and essences; theories of truth; theories of evidence; theories of knowledge; observation and reason; and sceptical doubts. Historically important figures, as well as currently influential ones, will be read.
