Description

INTERMEDIATE GERMAN is a full year subject, divided into two semesters (Intermediate German A and Intermediate German B), designed for students who have completed either an Introductory German course at university (eg. Introductory German A and B at UNSW), or a German course at High School (eg. HSC 2 or 3 Unit German), or who have an equivalent level of knowledge of the language. It consists of a Language Seminar of four class contact hours, plus two hours independent online study . Assessment is continuous and weighted to reflect all language skills, including knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, oral presentation, written assignments, and class participation. Topics of reading texts relate to exemplary issues in modern German culture (19th and 20th centuries).
