Description

Consolidation of oral-aural skills up to intermediate level. Development of reading and writing skills, with another 150 kanji introduced.


Learning Outcomes

  • Knowledge about communication styles in Japanese
  • Linguistic and paralinguistic communication skills in Japanese
  • Four macro-skills for communication at formal and semi-professional levels
  • Public speech skills including drafting the script
  • Narrate and describe events at a discourse level
  • Cultural awareness and tolerance between Japan and Australia, and the country of one's own
  • Establish positive interpersonal relationships with the Japanese.
