Description

Examines the places of technology in contemporary performance culture from MTV to performance art. Considers the rise of video literature and the expanding field of video culture in terms of the ways in which technologies have shifted the parameters of performance and representation. Looks at the question of the convergence of performance genres and critiques the separate status of such fields as the the theatrical and the cinematic.
