Description

The School of the Arts and Media (SAM) is distinguished by contemporary and interdisciplinary scholarship in the creative and performing arts and humanities. In the 2012 Excellence for Research in Australia Report our research in Performing Arts and Creative Writing; and Film, Television and Digital Media received the maximum score of five and was rated in the top category - outstanding performance well above world standard. These results cement SAM as a national leader in these research fields. The School has an exceptional record of scholarly achievement in English Literature and Cultural Studies with academic staff comprising Australia Research Council Postdoctoral, Future and Professorial Fellows.

With prominent academic staff, innovative teaching and state-of-the-art facilities the school produces research that is relevant, influential and engaging.
