Plan Outline

A specialist program designed to address increasing demands to explore, critique and contribute to the study of assessment and evaluation. The program will provide an opportunity to explore the context, purpose, and role of assessment and evaluation as well as contemporary issues in relevant theory and practice through a range of courses covering assessment, measurement, assessment for learning, testing , educational evaluation, policy and research methodologies.

Plan Structure

The Assessment and Evaluation stream consists of eight courses (48 uoc):
  1. Core courses in assessment and evaluation (24 uoc)
  2. Prescribed Research Methodology course (6 uoc)
  3. Research Project (6 uoc)
  4. Prescribed Master of Education electives (12 uoc)
