This plan is designed for educationists who wish to study education by coursework at an advanced level to enhance their professional development in school and training sectors. The courses are normally offered on UNSW's Kensington campus.

The degree consists of courses to the value of 48 units of credit (eight courses).

Students may choose some courses from the Master of Educational Leadership program and may, with the approval of the Head of School, select Master's level courses to the value of 12 units of credit (normally 2 courses) from those offered by other schools in the Faculty or by any faculty within the University of New South Wales.
