Description

This course introduces students to advanced techniques in studio lighting and their creative applications. The course focuses on the use of artificial lighting techniques for studio lighting set-ups in addition to specific lighting techniques for portraiture and still life. The student is required to have knowledge of basic lighting techniques; B/W and colour photography; 35mm camera operation; film exposure and processing; and print production. The emphasis is on the development of new technical skills central to the production and advancement of the student’s work. Projects are set which focus on the production of photographic images for contemporary visual art works.
