Description

Prepares students for professional T & I practice in the community and corporate professional settings. Students will become familiar with aspects of T & I industry and employment, including pre-service training, accreditation, employment paths, working conditions and other aspects of T & I employment career. Students will learn about T & I requirements, rights and responsibilities from the perspectives of practitioners, service providers and interpreting/translation recipients.

In addition, students who wish to apply for NAATI accreditation must successfully complete 75 hours of practicum.
