Description Students develop necessary skills to translate and interpret texts in a variety of fields relevant to professional practice. Based on sound principles of T & I theory, these skills involve research, pre-translation analysis, techniques of overcoming T & I challenges and presenting a professional translation. The course includes thematic knowledge and linguistic (lexical) enrichments in contexts in which translators and interpreters work in the international and domestic markets, including education, hospitality and tourism, welfare/social security, and commerce and trade.
