Description This course covers issues in research methodology including research problem formulation, null and alternative hypotheses, qualitative and quantitative research designs, statistical inference and the analysis of quantitative data. Students will be expected to be able to recognise and avoid common methodological problems in research. The course will not provide a detailed coverage of statistical theory but an understanding of statistics is required.
